Virtual visits: Request an online presentation
We try our best, but it's just not possible for Waterloo to visit every school and city. If Waterloo isn't coming to your school in person, we'd like to the opportunity to connect with you and your students virtually. We're offering 4 ways for you and your students to connect with us online:
- Request a video presentation
- Request a web conference presentation
- Request a Skype presentation
- Request an online chat

1. Request a video presentation
Invite Waterloo to speak to you and your students using video conferencing. Presentations can be customized to meet your needs – learn more about the University of Waterloo and/or studying in Canada.
- Video conferencing requirements:
- video conferencing equipment (e.g., Polycom, Tamburg, a portable or stationary unit)
- a TV or computer monitor
- an IP number of ISDN number
- a contact person who will work with our video conferencing area to run a pre-conferencing test
2. Request a web conference presentation

3. Request a Skype presentation
- Skype chats work best with less than 30 participants
- A skype account is required
- A computer with a clear monitor/or projector is recommended
- A web cam is suggested but not required
- A contact person who will work with our contact person to run a pre-Skype test is required
4. Request an online chat
- Chat live with a current Waterloo student.
- Live chats work best in a one-on-one situation.
