What is an Entrance Bursary?
A bursary is similar to a scholarship in that you're not expected to repay it, but it's awarded based primarily on financial need rather than on academic achievement.
Approximately 1,000 University of Waterloo Entrance Bursaries, valued from $500 to $4,000, are awarded each year to students with financial need who are entering their first year of post-secondary studies.
Who is eligible to apply?
Are you eligible to apply for a Waterloo Entrance Bursary? To find out, answer these questions:
- Are you an Ontario resident (as defined by OSAP)?
- Are you applying for OSAP by June 15, 2012?
- Can you demonstrate financial need?
- Are you attending a university/college for the first time in September 2012?
If you answered "yes" to each of the quiz questions, then you're eligible to apply for Waterloo's Entrance Bursary.
