Living and LearningLiving and learning

Residence is a great way to experience university life, but you need to make time for your studies, too – yes, really!! That’s why you’ll find plenty of ways to get help with your studies right where you live.

  • Tutoring in residence – Some residences offer formal tutoring or other special programs to help you with your studies or that focus on an academic area you’re interested in. Check the individual residence websites.
  • Quiet study areas – All our residences have special quiet areas where you can concentrate.
  • Just outside your door – If you’re struggling with an assignment, you might find helpful advice as close as your neighbour down the hall.
  • Living-Learning Communities – this innovative program is a way to add value to your academic program:
    • Live in a specific residence with a “cluster” of other students in your program
    • Benefit from the experience of your Peer Leader – a senior student in your program
    • Meet and connect outside of class with faculty and staff from your program
    • Expand your in-class learning through academic enrichment – writing clinics, research and resources workshops, and study skills sessions
