Finding a place to live

If you're planning to live off campus, the following resources will come in handy in your search for accommodation.

Most student accommodation in Waterloo is rented on a single-occupancy, shared-accommodation basis. This means that you’ll pay a per-room, per-month rate. Depending on your arrangements, utilities, parking, laundry facilities, etc. may be extra. Rental or lease periods, as well as the level of furnishing, will also vary.

Average rental prices in the City of Waterloo vary widely depending on the level of furnishings/amenities and how close you are to the universities. Expect to pay anywhere between $350 to $550 per month for a single room in a shared apartment or house.
