As a student, you can choose from more than 140 areas of study and gain paid work experience through our co-op program - the world's largest with 3,500 employers around the globe. Waterloo founded co-op in Canada and our students alternate 4-month school terms with 4-month paid jobs relating to their studies.
Located about 100 km west of Toronto, the University of Waterloo is home to 30,000 undergraduate and graduate students. We're an international university, with students from 90 countries and campuses in southern Ontario as well as in the UAE, China, and Rome, Italy.
