Spanning a broad area of science, biochemistry appeals to those who like to understand how life works. Biochemists work in areas such as medical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology research, food and agriculture, and forensics.
Our program includes lab-intensive courses in cell biology, molecular biology, physical biochemistry, as well as analytical and organic chemistry.
If you choose to add the Biotechnology specialization, you'll explore biological and biochemical processes used to make new products, such as drugs to treat disease.
Through co-op, discover career areas you like before you graduate. You'll integrate 5 co-op work terms throughout your program for a total of 20 months paid work experience in biochemistry.
