Be part of one of the most rapidly developing areas of science. Biologists study the workings of living organisms, where they come from, how they are evolve and function, providing insight into our understandings of life.

Choose from over 80 biology courses, including field trips to Algonquin Park, New Brunswick, and Jamaica. Our Biology program is versatile, allowing you to complement your Science with other areas of interest, such as the humanities, languages, and mathematics.

By choosing an area of specialization, such as animal biology, environmental biology, microbiology, biotechnology, plant biology, or molecular genetics, you can focus your studies and prepare for exciting career opportunities in these areas.

Enrich your education by including 20 months of paid co-op work experience as part of your degree. Waterloo's co-op program is the largest in the world, offering you access to more than 3,500 employers.

As a biologist, you'll be well-prepared for careers in laboratory and field research, environmental assessment, education, the health professions, and industry.
