If you're passionate about environmental issues, then Environment and Resource Studies is a great place for you!
As one of the most flexible programs at Waterloo, Environment and Resource Studies provides a strong understanding of environmental issues and the tools needed to resolve them. You can easily customize your degree to study a broad range of topics or focus on a specific area of expertise with specializations or double majors in areas such as Biology, Political Science, and Peace and Conflict Studies.
Choose co-op to gain valuable work experience through the world's largest co-op program. You'll alternate 4-month school terms with paid co-op work terms, graduate with 2 years of work experience, earn money, and try different career areas even before you graduate.
Case studies, field trips, and community projects give you hands-on experience with current issues. In your final year, work one-on-one with a professor on a research project of your choice.
With just 75 first-year students, this program gives you the opportunity to study in a personal and friendly community.
