Medicinal chemistry is the science of drug discovery. You'll be trained as a chemist but will also gain the skills and knowledge necessary for careers involving the design, creation, and evaluation of potential medications.
In this co-op only program, you'll gain 20 months of paid co-op work experience. Work for pharmaceutical companies and hospitals to get a head start on your career.
You'll qualify for membership in the Canadian Society of Chemistry and the Chemical Institute of Canada.
Labs, such as our Analytical Chemistry Lab, will introduce you to advanced equipment and computer-assisted techniques. Your professors will bring real-world examples of chemistry to the classroom through their research and collaboration with industry.
