Want to make a difference? Take Social Development Studies and explore the human condition in relation to local, national, and global social issues.
This program combines courses in social work, sociology, psychology, and interdisciplinary social science. Classroom studies and volunteer work at local agencies help you tailor your marketable skills and prepare you for a career in professions such as social work, counselling, education, public service, human resources, or law.
You can also explore possible career areas through co-op work terms. If you're interested in co-op, apply to Arts and Business and choose Social Development Studies as your major at the end of first year.
Upon completing the program, you can apply directly to the one-year Bachelor of Social Work program.
