What to review

Please visit the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) website and review your completed application to check these 2 items:

Programs applied to - Make sure the programs listed are the ones you intended to select.

Your email address - We'll be sending you important information, including your Waterloo ID number, by email. It's essential that your email address is up to date.

  • You must provide a unique email address*.
  • Any changes to your email address should be submitted through OUAC (see below).
  • Regularly check your junk/spam mail for legitimate Waterloo email.
  • Please add myapplication@uwaterloo.ca to your address book or contact list, to help ensure you receive legitimate Waterloo emails.

*If you do not have an email address, you can call us at 519-888-4567, ext. 33106 to learn your Waterloo ID number; however, you may wish to sign up for an email account so you'll receive additional admissions information from Waterloo.

How to review/change your application

All changes to your personal information or email address should be submitted through OUAC. To do this, visit the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) website for

  • Ontario secondary school students, or
  • All other undergraduate applicants

Provide a unique email address

Our email system requires that each applicant use a unique email address.

If you have a sibling, friend, or classmate who has applied to Waterloo using the same email address as you, only one of you will receive email from Waterloo.

If your email address is not unique, please review/change your application (see above) and provide a new, unique email address.

Note: We'll be sending you important information, including your Waterloo ID number, by email. If you do not specify a unique email address, you may not receive these emails.
