"I found the student-led campus tours very helpful, as they were really enthusiastic about Waterloo and they gave a lot of information that you couldn't get by going on a self-guided tour."
"I loved the campus tour. Our tour guide did an excellent job of showing myself and my parents around the beautiful campus."
"The student guides and advisors were simply spectacular. They did an immaculate job and were very knowledgeable."
"The students that were available to give the campus tours were able to effectively answer any questions that were posed to them. If I asked a question where they did not know the answer, they directed me to the person that could answer my question."
"Great open house! I especially liked the fact that there were several volunteers walking around, helping. All of them were really nice and accommodating. It was especially easy to see them with their black jackets and cool lanyards - I really want one of those now :D! Also, the prof. were really nice and answered all my questions."
"Best Run Open house i've been to this year. The Lecture at the Architecture School was very informative and interesting, and Far superior to Ryerson's Architecture open house. Thanks!!"
"Fantastic open house!! The students were friendly and informative. Waterloo has inspired me to work that much harder to get accepted!"
"Going to the open house made me that much more excited to hopefully attend Waterloo next fall.Talking to profs was amazing, and I also got to talk to a student that is in the program I'm interested in. It was a great experience! Great job."
"As a senior high school student, I was pretty sure about selecting Waterloo as my first choice for university. Now Waterloo is my first three choices."
“Guides were extremely welcoming, sincere, would ask if you needed help, and would take initiative to talk to us individually.”
"There was also a great atmosphere pervading around campus! Everything from the cupcakes to the band made my day an absolute blast."
"I felt that this day was very organized. I had previously visited a few other universities for their "open house day" and they were not as organized and I didn't get to see everything I wanted to. "
"The students and staff at the kiosks in the SLC were of great help. I got all my previously prepared questions answered quickly and thoroughly!"
"I loved how organized You@Waterloo Day was and how many students and staff members were available to answer my questions or provide directions. Seriously, you guys did it right. It was by far, the best university tour day I have attended. There was a really positive and collective vibe all throughout the campus. Thanks again for a great day!"
"When our group entered Waterloo, we saw "Welcome" on the bridge on the south side of campus. Immediately, we saw people who were willing to point us in the right direction. This was the warmest welcome out of any university. I felt like the day was going to be great. Just like breakfast, the beginning of the day is what was important and showed us what the day was going to be like. Awesome job, Waterloo! I had an amazing time."
"You@Waterloo Day was an amazing event. It was great seeing all the parts of campus and getting to visit the residences. I also met one of the professors from the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences, which was fantastic. Everyone at UW is friendly and welcoming. It definitely feels like a home away from home. I am super excited to start my UW career in September 2009. Thank you to everyone who helped make this such an awesome event!"
"I had a great time at St. Jerome's and really enjoyed my experience there. The information provided made me 100% sure that that is where I want to come in the fall. The help of my tour guide (Marla) and Ashley Dietrich was great and they deserve a lot of credit for making my experience great!"
"The residence tours were great and informative, my son's choices have changed since seeing what they were like."
"The best part of the entire day, was talking with the students and teachers about the different programs and courses."
"It was interesting talking to the professors and current students."
"I was able to meet one of the professors from the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences which was fantastic!"
"Getting to see Waterloo got me very excited and ready to attend university. I cannot wait to start it in the fall."
"They do a great job in giving future students an opportunity to see why Waterloo is the perfect place to pursue any goals that you wish to achieve."
"Everyone who was there really created a welcoming environment and the entire day was very enjoyable! Thanks Waterloo!!! :)"
"Every time I visit both the region/city of Waterloo and the University of Waterloo, I have always felt welcomed. The overall environment is welcoming and approachable."
