Your 1-hour campus tour leaves from the Visitors Centre in South Campus Hall (SCH) and will be led by one of our Waterloo Student Ambassadors.
Friends and family are always welcome.
The walking tour takes place mostly outdoors, so please wear comfortable shoes, check the weather before you arrive, and dress comfortably.

Your tour guide will often customize the tour to suit the interests of your group. If there's a particular area you would like to see, be sure to let your tour guide know!
Note: Regular University office hours are 8:30 to 4:30, Monday to Friday. If you'll be visiting on a weekend, most offices will be closed and professors/academic advisors will not be available; however, the majority of buildings on campus will be open. See above for scheduled dates and times. If none of the times suits your schedule, call the Visitors Centre at 519-888-4567, ext. 33614, to arrange a tour at another time.
This tour is ideal if you’re already familiar with the main Waterloo campus and want to know more about where you'll be living. You have an option of choosing up to 3 different residence tours, and each tour will last approximately 30 minutes.
To tour the Waterloo Residences – Ron Eydt Village (REV), UW Place (UWP), and Village 1 (V1) – please book a residence tour. For more residence tour options, please visit the Housing & Residences website.
This tour includes a visit to one or all of Waterloo’s on-campus University Colleges to check out their residences and academic opportunities.
To tour the University College residences – Conrad Grebel, Renison, St. Jerome's, and St. Paul's – please contact the appropriate college to set up an appointment.
A combined campus and residence tour is also available – simply select both options when you're registering for your campus tour. A combined tour of both residence and main campus will last approximately 2 hours but could be longer depending on how many residence stops you want to include.
