Main campus tours

Book your campus tour today! This tour is a great choice for learning more about Waterloo's student life and academics.

Your 1-hour campus tour leaves from the Visitors Centre in South Campus Hall (SCH) and will be led by one of our Waterloo Student Ambassadors.

Friends and family are always welcome.

The walking tour takes place mostly outdoors, so please wear comfortable shoes, check the weather before you arrive, and dress comfortably.

Stops on your tour will include

  • a lecture hall
  • various faculty buildings
  • the Student Life Centre
  • the Tatham Centre (co-op & career services building)
  • and much more!

Your tour guide will often customize the tour to suit the interests of your group. If there's a particular area you would like to see, be sure to let your tour guide know!

Note: Regular University office hours are 8:30 to 4:30, Monday to Friday. If you'll be visiting on a weekend, most offices will be closed and professors/academic advisors will not be available; however, the majority of buildings on campus will be open. See above for scheduled dates and times. If none of the times suits your schedule, call the Visitors Centre at 519-888-4567, ext. 33614, to arrange a tour at another time.
